There was an atheist couple who had a child. The couple never told their daughter anything about the Lord. One night when the little girl was 5 years old, the parents fought with each other and the dad shot the Mom, right in front of the child. Then, the dad shot himself. The little girl watched it all. She then was sent to a foster home. The foster mother was a Christian and took the child to church. On the first day of Sunday School, the foster mother told the teacher that the girl had never heard of Jesus, and to have patience with her. The teacher held up a picture of Jesus and said, 'Does anyone know who this is?' The little girl said, 'I do, that's the man who was holding me the night my parents died.'

If you believe this little girl is telling the truth that even though she had never heard of Jesus, he still held her the night her parents died, then you will forward this to as many people as you can.

Or you can delete it as if it never touched your heart.

Funny, isn't it?

Funny how simple it is for people to trash God and then wonder why the world's going to hell.

Funny how we believe what the newspapers say, but question what the Bible says.

Funny how everyone wants to go to heaven provided they do not have to believe, think, say, or do anything the Bible says. (Or is it scary?)

Funny how someone can say 'I believe in God' but still follow Satan (who, by the way, also 'believes' in God).

Funny how you can send a thousand 'jokes' through e-mail and they spread like wildfire, but when you start sending messages regarding the Lord, people think twice about sharing.

Funny how the lewd, crude, vulgar and obscene pass freely through cyberspace, but the public discussion of Jesus is suppressed in the school and workplace.

Funny how when you go to forward this message, you will not send it to many on your address list because you're not sure what they believe, or what they will think of you for sending it to them.

Funny how we can go to church for Christ on Sunday, but be an invisible Christian the rest of the week. (Are you laughing?)

Funny how I can be more worried about what other people think of me than what God thinks of me. (Are you thinking?)

Cell Phone VS. Bible :D

Ever wonder what would happen if we treated our Bible like we treat our cell phone ?

What if we carried it around in our purses or pockets ?

What if we flipped through it several time a day ?

What if we turned back to go get it if we forget it ?

What if we used it to receive messages from the text ?

What if we treated it like we couldn`t live without it ?

What if we gave it to Kids as gifts ?

What if we used it when we traveled ?

What if we used it in case of emergency ?

This is something to make you go...hmm...where is my Bible ?

Oh, and one more thing.
Unlike our cell phone, we don`t have to worry about Bible being disconnected because Jesus had already paid the bill for you :D

Make you stop and think 'where are my priorities ? And no dropped calls!'

The annual Festival of Praise will be held next week from 1 – 3 August 2008, 7.30 p.m. at the Singapore Indoor Stadium. We would like to invite you to join us for an amazing time in God’s presence as Christians from all over Singapore come together to celebrate and to offer their thanksgiving to Him for His blessings over our nation!

I had a dream that I had an interview with God. I looked at the great mountains and saw the genius of his handwork. I looked at the incredible beauty of a sunset and with much trembling thought about what God must be like. I had one big question to ask… and you?

I had a dream that I had an interview with God.
I looked at the great mountains and
saw the genius of His handwork.
I looked at the incredible beauty of a sunset,
and with much trembling thought about what God must be like,
I had one big question I wanted to ask.

I turned towards Him,
but could not look upon God
because He dwelt in unapproachable light.

So I simply cried out,
“Why is there suffering and death”

He answered me from His Word:
“As by one man sin entered the world and death by sin.And so death passed upon all men, for all have sinned.”

Then He said, “The soul that sins, shall die.”
I asked Him what sin was, and He said,
“Sin is Transgression of the Law”

He then thundered His Law:
You shall have no other gods before Me
You shall not make for yourself any idol.
You shall not misuse the name of the LORD your God.

Remember the Sabbath day by keeping it holy.
Honour your father and your mother.
You shall not murder.

And the word of Holy Scriptures:
“Do you not know that the wicked will not inherit the kingdom of God?
Do not be deceived: Neither the sexually immoral nor idolaters nor adulterers nor male prostitutes…” 1 Corinthians 6.9

and

“But the cowardly, the unbelieving, the vile, the murderers, the sexually immoral, those who practice magic arts, the idolaters and all liars – their place will be in the fiery lake of burning sulphur. This is the second death” Revelation 21.8

It suddenly dawned on me
that I had broken God’s Law many times
and would be condemned to Hell on the day of Judgement.

Not only had God seen my every sin,
but my own conscience condemned me.

When I asked God what I should do,
he said, “I didn’t send my son to condemn…

I then understood that God loved me so much
that He made provision for my forgiveness.
Jesus suffered and died for me.

He took my punishment upon Himself:

“Herein is love, not that we have lover God. But that he loved usand sent His Son to be a substitute for our sins”

We broke God’s Law (the Ten Commandments),
and Jesus completely paid our fine.

“God commended His Love toward us, in that,
While we were yet sinners Christ died for us”
Then He rose from the dead and defeated death.

I suddenly awoke from my dream
and realised that I had a choice to make.

I could carry on dreaming that God wasn’t angry at sin’and end up in Hell forever.

or

I could repent and trust in Jesus Christ as my Lord and Saviour
and receive God’s gift of everlasting life.

Hey guys! This is something which has been circulating around in our e-mails.
You may or may not read it before, but definitely no harm to read it again... =))

'Let me explain the problem science has with Jesus Christ.' The atheist
professor of philosophy pauses before his class and then asks one of his
new students to stand.

'You're a Christian, aren't you, son?'

'Yes sir,' the student says.

'So you believe in God?'

'Absolutely.'

'Is God good?'

'Sure! God's good.'

'Is God all-powerful? Can God do anything?'

'Yes.'

'Are you good or evil?'

'The Bible says I'm evil.'

The professor grins knowingly. 'Aha! The Bible!' He considers for a
moment.

'Here's one for you. Let's say there's a sick person over here and you
can cure him. You can do it. Would you help him? Would you try?'

'Yes sir, I would.'

'So you're good...!'

'I wouldn't say that.'

'But why not say that? You'd help a sick and maimed person if
you could. Most of us would if we could. But God doesn't.'

The student does not answer, so the professor continues. 'He
doesn't, does he? My brother was a Christian who died of cancer, even
though he prayed to Jesus to heal him How is this Jesus good? Hmmm? Can
you answer that one?'

The student remains silent.

'No, you can't, can you?' the professor says. He takes a sip of
water from a glass on his desk to give the student time to relax.

'Let's start again, young fella Is God good?'

'Er...yes,' the student says.

'Is Satan good?'

The student doesn't hesitate on this one. 'No.'

'Then where does Satan come from?'

The student : 'From...God...'

'That's right. God made Satan, didn't he? Tell me, son. Is there
evil in this world?'

'Yes, sir.'

'Evil's everywhere, isn't it? And God did make everything,
correct?'

'Yes.'

'So who created evil?' The professor continued, 'If God created
everything, then God created evil, since evil exists, and according to
the principle that our works define who we are, then God is evil.'

Without allowing the student to answer, the professor continues:
'Is there sickness? Immorality? Hatred? Ugliness? All these terrible
things, do they exist in this world?'

The student: 'Yes.'

'So who created them?'

The student does not answer again, so the professor repeats his
question. 'Who created them? There is still no answer. Suddenly the
lecturer breaks away to pace in front of the classroom. The class is
mesmerized.

'Tell me,' he continues onto another student. 'Do you believe in
Jesus Christ, son?'

The student's voice is confident: 'Yes, professor, I do.'

The old man stops pacing. 'Science says you have five senses you
use to identify and observe the world around you. Have you ever seen
Jesus?'

'No sir. I've never seen Him'

'Then tell us if you've ever heard your Jesus?'

'No, sir, I have not.'

'Have you ever actually felt your Jesus, tasted your Jesus or
smelt your Jesus? Have you ever had any sensory perception of Jesus
Christ, or God for that matter?'

'No, sir, I'm afraid I haven't.'

'Yet you still believe in him?'

'Yes.'

'According to the rules of empirical, testable, demonstrable
protocol, science says your God doesn't exist. What do you say to that,
son?'

'Nothing,' the student replies. 'I only have my faith.'

'Yes, faith,' the professor repeats. 'And that is the problem
science has with God. There is no evidence, only faith.'

The student stands quietly for a moment, before asking a
question of his own. 'Professor, is there such thing as heat?'

'Yes,' the professor replies. 'There's heat.'

'And is there such a thing as cold?'

'Yes, son, there's cold too.'

'No sir, there isn't.'

The professor turns to face the student, obviously interested.
The room suddenly becomes very quiet. The student begins to explain.

'You can have lots of heat, even more heat, super-heat,
mega-heat, unlimited heat, white heat, a little heat or no heat, but we
don't have anything called 'cold'. We can hit up to 458 degrees below
zero, which is no heat, but we can't go any further after that. There is
no such thing as cold; otherwise we would be able to go colder than the
lowest -458 degrees. Every body or object is susceptible to study when
it has or transmits energy, and heat is what makes a body or matter have
or transmit energy. Absolute zero (-458 F) is the total absence of heat.
You see, sir, cold is only a word we use to describe the absence of
heat. We cannot measure cold. Heat we can measure in thermal units
because heat is energy. Cold is not the opposite of heat, sir, just the
absence of it.'

Silence across the room. A pen drops somewhere in the classroom,
sounding like a hammer.

'What about darkness, professor. Is there such a thing as
darkness?'

'Yes,' the professor replies without hesitation. 'What is night
if it isn't darkness?'

'You're wrong again, sir. Darkness is not something; it is the
absence of something. You can have low light, normal light, bright
light, flashing light, but if you have no light constantly you have
Nothing and it's called darkness, isn't it? That's the meaning we use to
define the word. In reality, darkness isn't. If it were, you would be able
to make darkness darker, wouldn't you?'

The professor begins to smile at the student in front of him.
This will be a good semester. 'So what point are you making, young man?'

'Yes, professor. My point is, your philosophical premise is
flawed to start with, and so your conclusion must also be flawed.'

The professor's face cannot hide his surprise this time.
'Flawed? Can you explain how?'

'You are working on the premise of duality,' the student
explains. 'You argue that there is life and then there's death; a good
God and a bad God. You are viewing the concept of God as something
finite, something we can measure. Sir, science can't even explain a
thought. It uses electricity and magnetism, but has never seen, much
less fully understood either one. To view death as the opposite of life
is to be ignorant of the fact that death cannot exist as a substantive
thing. Death is not the opposite of life, just the absence of it.'

'Now tell me, professor. Do you teach your students that they
evolved from a monkey?'

'If you are referring to the natural evolutionary process, young
man, yes, of course I do'

'Have you ever observed evolution with your own eyes, sir?'

The professor begins to shake his head, still smiling, as he
realizes where the argument is going. A very good semester, indeed.

'Since no one has ever observed the process of evolution at work
and cannot even prove that this process is an on-going endeavor, are you
not teaching your opinion, sir? Are you now not a scientist, but a
preacher?'

The class is in uproar. The student remains silent until the
Commotion has subsided.

'To continue the point you were making earlier to the other
student, let me give you an example of what I mean.'

The student looks around the room. 'Is there anyone in the class
who has ever seen the professor's brain?' The class breaks out into
laughter.

'Is there anyone here who has ever heard the professor's brain,
felt the professor's brain, touched or smelled the professor's brain? No
one appears to have done so. So, according to the established rules of
empirical, stable, demonstrable protocol, science says that you have no
brain, with all due respect, sir. So if science says you have no brain,
how can we trust your lectures, sir?'

Now the room is silent. The professor just stares at the
student, his face unreadable.

Finally, after what seems an eternity, the old man answers. 'I
guess you'll have to take them on faith.'

'Now, you accept that there is faith, and, in fact, faith exists
with life,' the student continues. 'Now, sir, is there such a thing as
evil?'

Now uncertain, the professor responds, 'Of course, there is. We
see it everyday. It is in the daily example of man's inhumanity to man.
It is in the multitude of crime and violence everywhere in the world.
These manifestations are nothing else but evil.'

To this the student replied, 'Evil does not exist sir, or at
least it does not exist unto itself. Evil is simply the absence of God.
It is just like darkness and cold, a word that man has created to describe
the absence of God.

God did not create evil. Evil is the result of what happens when
man does not have God's love present in his heart. It's like the cold
that comes when there is no heat or the darkness that comes when there
is no light.'

The professor sat down.

Rev. Dr. Kim Sunghae is coming to our church to preech this weekend, 19 & 2o April 2oo8 together with her husband. :D
Both Husband & wife are founder of a huge church in Korean. * Wow !
Their church consist of alot of people, more than our church does.
Can we really go for both service as it will be both different sermon. :D

Hey people.

Last Sunday there was water baptism session

held at Jurong West after Expo`s service.

& our dearest Janelle Ong went. [:

& it`s the day she longed for through out the years.

every time she went was to support others.

But this time round was different.

E453 went & support her ! [:

she was so anxious the night before that she tuck in to

her bed in the middle of the night yeahs. & she messaged

me to morning call her xD

i`m here to say a very big Congratulations to her man.

Oh yeaa.. I'm here to announce that... JOEL EE is officially joining us!!! *Wheeeee~!!!*
He is 15 this year, studying in First Toa Payoh Sec, staying nearer to the northern side of Singapore!
And... we welcome him very very much~!!! =))

EasterService is the time whereby our CellGroup will have revival. & each of you guys should go at least 2 services. if you are serving, please inform send a msg to WeiLin and if you`re not going, please state in the msg & why cant. :D
Service 1, Mar 21 (Fri) : 4pm
- Ministry of Defence, you are required to reach ExpoHall 1 by 1.30pm.
- if you are meeting your friends, meet them 3pm at ExpoMrt.
Service 2, Mar 21 (Fri) : 7pm
- if you are meeting another group of friends, meet them 5.30pm at Expo Mrt.
Service 3, Mar 22 (Sat) : 3pm
- Ministry of Defence, you are required to reach ExpoHall 1 by 12.30pm.

Ocean 11, Sentosa.

had Ocean11 today. its a Zone outing, LYL.
even though its raining, we had our fun.
& although we had 5 person from our CellGroup went, we`re not discourage okays.
early in the morning, we`ve received WeiLin`s msg.
she said that we`ll be the ones to kick start unity & growth in our CellGroup. hehes. [:
